For any queries please contact recruitment@oneair.aero. We are seeking a Pilot Training Planning Officer to join our Flight Ops Training team, supporting a modern commercial aircraft fleet.
Role Purpose
To assist Pilot Training Planning Manager in the accurate administration of all Pilot Training Records to ensure that the training records are accurate and kept up to date and compliant with CAA regulations. Together with providing other training administrative responsibilities for the Flight Training department as directed by the Director Flight Training (DFT) and their deputy.
The Role
- Assist PTPM with flight crew training, in conjunction with the Crew Planning Manager
- Monitor and assist the training administrator and help ensure efficient completion of their duties
- Assisting the DFT or DDFT with any meetings relating to OMD 3.2.2 in PTPM’s absence
- Inputting and maintaining accurate pilot training records and examination certificates on the training records system
- Daily management and maintenance of the training spreadsheets data
- Diarising and scheduling pilot training checks in a timely manner to ensure continued compliance for pilot flying licences and the company’s AOC
- Booking and scheduling simulator time and the appropriate trainers and pilots time to be trained
- Scheduling of the recurrent training program
- Ensuring the booking of flight crew accommodation and travel for training courses and liaising with crewing staff
- Plan and organise pilot training duties on roster via crewing, well in advance of the published flying rosters
- Onboarding of One Air instructors and review of expiry of training qualifications
- Ensuring all training and schedule flight checks, Instructor time is rostered to UK CAA guidelines
- Ensuring all resources used in the delivery of each training event are available and accurately planned and maintained
- Booking of training venues as required for initial and recurrent training events
- Ensure the accurate and timely management, control, updating and submission of course manuals / exams to UK CAA
- Carry out monthly workflows as required by compliance procedures
- Maintenance of student files and record keeping to completed to UK CAA standards
- Maintenance of the instructor database, ensuring licences, certifications and records are kept to UK CAA standards
- Ensure currency of One Air third party simulator / course / ATO approvals evidence is maintained
- Plan and maintain 3rd party contract meetings and discussions on behalf of One Air DFT
- Sourcing, maintaining and supply of courseware as required
- Any other duties as required by the PTPM or DFT
Required Skills and Experience
- Educated to A-Level standard or similar
- Strong understanding of flight crew training processes, recurrent training cycles, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of training record systems, document control procedures, and compliance workflows.
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of licence management, instructor qualifications, and training validity requirements.
- Proven experience of managing detailed information accurately
- Proven ability to plan, organise and deliver on time.
- Excellent all-round web-based PC skills and advanced in Excel and Microsoft Word
Additional Relevant Information
The role is office based (Head Office) Monday to Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday. The post holder may be required to occasionally work from a different location within the UK.
