JOB TITLE: Flight Operations Support Officer
REPORTING TO: Flight Support Manager

SALARY: £45,000
LOCATION: Head Office, Hampton Wick
Role Purpose:
Assisting DFO and Flight Support Manager in the safe and efficient planning of Operations with regards to Flight Planning and Performance. Deputize to the EFB ( Electronic Flight Bag) Administrator role ensuring EFB effectively supports the aircraft operation, reliably, is safe, compliant, resilient and consistently efficient for operations.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities of the role:
- Provide technical support as required to OCC and Ground Operations with regard to flight planning and performance.
- Provide input to Commercial for route viability and performance with regard to route and airport planning.
- Assist in the management of all suppliers for flight support including electronic documentation, navigation, performance, databases etc.
- Provide input to Route and Airfield analysis execution and briefing production.
- Assist in the production and maintenance of Aircraft Navigation and Terrain database according to route network.
- Liaise with Flight Support Manager and crew on matters of efficient operations and changes to route and airport planning.
- Provide technical support or input to flight safety investigations
- Deputize for the role of EFB Administrator
- Assist in the administration of the EFB system.
- Support the updating of any relevant sections of the Operation Manuals and/or Local Procedures Manuals.
- Assisting in managing data updates in accordance with relevant update cycle.
- Assisting in managing Flight Operations aspects of Weight and Balance
- Support the maintenance and management of documentation related to AOC and associated operational approvals, including carriage of necessary documents on board aircraft.
Key skills , knowledge, Experience required: (i.e. those required to fulfil the role, including qualifications):
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Worldwide Aircraft Operations or Commercial Pilot License.
- Operational experience of aircraft performance and navigation in an airline environment.
- Experience and a good working knowledge (at a ‘user’ and administration level) of the approved system hardware, Operating System, and operational applications and the appropriate regulatory requirements related to the use of EFB systems.
- Experience and knowledge of EFB Policy and Procedures as well as the EFB regulations applicable under the Competent Authority.
- Educated to A level standard or similar with excellent all-round communications skills.
- Team Player with excellent planning & organisation skills.
