Role purpose

You’ll be responsible for effective planning for the One Air Fleet of Boeing 747 & 777 Cargo aircraft using AMOS Maintenance Information System. You will ensure that all Line and Base maintenance is planned accurately and efficiently, and work closely with Maintenance Control, Technical Service Engineers and the Material Controllers ensuring all maintenance on the Aircraft is planned within the specified downtime and associated tooling/spares are provisioned.

Also ensuring any related transactions are actioned accordingly as part of the reporting back procedure. Ensuring compliance with the CAME, regulated information and procedures whilst continually reviewing processes to identify ongoing improvements such as quality of the work, efficiency, etc.

Inputting the aircraft sector record pages, reviewing and reporting back completed work packages in the One Air AMOS system. Controlling and organising all the current and historic technical records and airworthiness data for the Fleet of Boeing 747-400 & 777 Cargo aircraft.

Your key responsibilities:

Maintenance planning

  • Continuously reviewing the Maintenance forecast and diligently planning all scheduled maintenance efficiently (i.e. cost and time efficient).
  • Rigorously planning all maintenance, ensuring the required spares and resources are detailed and available for the maintenance input.
  • Creating line and base work packages and work orders – Using AMOS, creating work packages or work orders detailing maintenance tasks to be accomplished on a line and base maintenance input. Issuing work packages and work orders to Part 145 Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs) with clear instruction of any specific requirements.
  • Ensuring that all paperwork cleared by the Part 145 MRO on base maintenance is checked correctly certified and reported back in AMOS.
  • Following completion of the maintenance input ensure all the paperwork within the work package or work order is returned and fully completed.
  • Update of Aircraft computer records and Aircraft and Engine Logbooks/associated paperwork – Using AMOS, update all aircraft computer records, aircraft logbooks from completed work packages or work order. Also update any associated tracking/record sheets.
  • Preparing and sending completed work packages and work orders for archiving and assisting with the archiving duties.
  • Undertaking any reasonable duties in accordance with the general role requirements and being flexible and pro-active with changing priorities and focus.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across processes and systems and team working.
  • Working positively and collaboratively in everything you do.
  • Following the accomplishment of the maintenance input by the Part 145 MRO, ensure all the paperwork is correctly certified, reported back within AMOS and returned to the CAMO.
  • Sending work packages to MROs after contents review post contract agreement.
  • Performing record audits of the subcontracted organisation in line with procedures

Records maintenance

  • Inputting Hours and cycles from the SRP pages received into AMOS along with defects/ADD’S/component Bookings etc.
  • Raising Work orders in AMOS
  • Raise MAREPS and PIREPS
  • Report back maintenance events
  • Update Oil uplifts
  • Clearance of daily work packages
  • Update of logbooks
  • Responsible for updating/controlling and organising all current and Archive records, ensuring the Inventory is kept up to date.  
  • Responsible for ensuring all the paperwork is returned and correctly certified and completed in accordance with procedures.
  • Supporting the Maintenance planning/AMP Manger in Preparing aircraft records and reports for aircraft audits as required.
  • Supporting in preparing paperwork for the ARC renewal.
  • Responsible for Preparing, scanning and sending completed work packages and work orders for archiving.
  • Supporting the Maintenance planning/AMP manager with any administration tasks when required.
  • Check and distribute aircraft Monthly Utilization reports to the lessor.

Continuous improvement

  • Working closely with the maintenance planning/AMP manager to ensure the Aircraft Maintenance Program remains effective.
  • Work closely with the Outsourced Manager, Maintenance Control Engineers and Technical Service Engineers and all the CAMO Team and departments.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Team.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across processes, systems and team working.

Key skills, knowledge, experience required: (i.e. those required to fulfil the role, including qualifications):

  • Extensive experience in Maintenance Planning with direct experience of maintaining aircraft including planning, forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in Critical Task and CDCCL fundamentals.
  • Recognised previous Part M/CAMO experience within an Aviation environment.
  • Expert AMOS key user within depth system architecture and set up knowledge.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Part CAMO regulations with respect to planning and record retention requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Aircraft Weight and Balance schedules.
  • Working knowledge of MSG-3 Maintenance Task Analysis.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, versatility, pro-active and being dynamic in previous roles.
  • Demonstrates commitment to continued professional development.
  • Adaptable and creative.
  • Knowledge of Aviation industry, specifically Airline operations.

About you

You will be experienced within the Maintenance Planning environment demonstrating previous experience within the Part M/CAMO environment for a minimum of 3 years. Your experience will come from the aviation industry maintaining aircraft, including planning, forecasting and scheduling. You will have experience and understanding in Critical Task and Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations (CDCCL) along with a solid understanding of Part CAMO regulations with respect to maintenance planning and record retention. Working knowledge of both Aircraft Weight and Balance schedules and MSG-3 Maintenance Task Analysis are also desirable.

You will be a proactive, inquisitive, and dynamic in approach with a flexible approach to work. It is understood that you will have strong communication skills and be able to work professionally and productively on your own and with colleagues across the business.

Additional relevant information:

The role is based at One Air Head Office at Aquilla House, Hampton Wick, three (3) days a week with some working from home and occasional travel outside and within the UK.
