On 3 September 2025, One Air successfully operated the inaugural flight of its new scheduled service between Hong Kong and East Midlands Airport. Our Boeing 747-400 Freighter touched down with a full payload of 39 pallets — a strong start that underlines customer demand for this new route.
The launch marks an important step in our journey. Until now, One Air has focused on charter solutions; this service represents our first move into scheduled operations. With four flights per week, late evening departures from Hong Kong, and early morning arrivals into the UK, the route is designed around time-critical cargo such as e-commerce and electronics. From East Midlands, shipments connect quickly across the UK via Swissport’s nationwide road feeder services, reaching major hubs including London Heathrow, Manchester, and Birmingham.
This achievement is the result of true teamwork. From our flight crews and ground handlers to our operations, commercial, and support colleagues, everyone has played their part in making this possible. We are also grateful to our customers and partners in Hong Kong and the UK, whose trust and support have helped make this launch a success.
As the UK’s prime cargo airport, East Midlands provides an ideal base for our scheduled services. Its central location and 24/7 operations enable us to deliver the speed, reliability, and consistency our customers need.
Following the successful launch, our scheduled flights are now operating four times per week. We look forward to building on this strong foundation, strengthening our presence in Hong Kong, and expanding our scheduled operations in the years ahead.
